Five production crew and the cast travelled to Tauranga for the day and visited a number of different locations where we showcased the interaction between our kiwi kids from various schools in Tauranga and Chinese students through exploring the beach and playing sport.
We also showcased a classroom environment and our kiwi kids got the opportunity to learn some Chinese calligraphy and language. It was a very busy day! The Directors of the show are delighted with the footage that they have got and have since advised that Tauranga will make up the majority of their 30 minute episode which focuses on lifestyle and education in New Zealand.
The episode will be completed in mid March and will be broadcast at a later date to be confirmed. We look forward to viewing the footage. All children a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We have no doubt that New Zealand will be a destination 'must' once this has been aired.
We are very proud of the quality of education offered here in our wonderful country, and we know that this is highly sought after. This year we welcome our first Chinese student into our International Tauriko School Community.
Later in the year we will be hosting a group of students from China. What a great cultural experience for all children involved - both Chinese and our own.
