Week 8, Term 4 2016

What an exciting couple of weeks it has been preparing for the “World Of Wearable Arts” show at school.

The children have been busy finding recycled materials to use to make costumes. There has been a lot of language around naming materials, discussing their uses, and problem solving around how to put it all together.

Students have thoroughly enjoyed the design and creation process and it has been lovely to see how motivated and engaged the children have been - and how creatively students have been thinking.

The students were proud to showcase their creations in such an exciting event. In ESOL class we read all about Dame Suzi Moncrief who was the founder of the first public WOW show in New Zealand.
