Students then researched pumpkin pie recipes online - focusing on effective online searches using key words. The students compared recipes and discussed which recipe sounded the tastiest.
Students then wrote a shopping list, and researched how much each ingredient would be to buy at the local supermarket. A budget was give to the students. Mrs Campbell took the students to the supermarket and the students found the ingredients on the shelves, and then paid for the items.
Today, students worked so hard following the recipe ... and make delicious mini pumpkin pies!
What a lot of learning going on here! Students worked so hard leading up to this baking experience and should be very proud of themselves.
